(IT) Technical Lead Engineers Network Services

They are currently embarking on new ventures and require several Technical Lead Engineers to ensure the network, LAN/WAN is managed, providing a highly available, efficient, secure and accurate service to the business. Reporting to the IT Security Manager, you will play a key role in the Security team and perform as an integral business partner for ITS. As Network Services technical lead engineer you will work towards strategic goals for providing a stable, secure, controlled and efficient network, security, communications and voice environments. Key Accountabilities: Accountable to the IT Security Manager for the continued availability of, and access to the network, security, communications and voice environments. Ensure adequate security measures are in place to maintain integrity of the network, security, communications and voice environments. Organise, motivate and mentor at a behavioural, technical and process level to build a high-performing team. Review, approve and monitor changes to the network, security, communications and voice environments through the change management process. Performance of work within the ITIL process framework. Network, security, communications and voice environment operations, capacity and performance recommending appropriate improvements. Participation in on-call/after hours support for the Network Services team. Experience Required: CISSP, CCNP, Checkpoint and Microsoft Certifications. Extensive technical IT experience in network, security, communications and voice architecture, implementation and support. Demonstrated success in mentoring a team of professionals. Strong knowledge and experience in ITIL, ISO17799/27001 and COBIT. Experience working in a complex network, security, communications and voice infrastructure environment. Excellent understanding of identity management and IT security. Excellent understanding of these key technologies, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Cisco, Checkpoint and E-commerce environments.
