An online E-learning site that is used by over 2,500 institutions world wide is growing their technical support function out Australia and has a need for Technical Support Analysts. Managing resolution of technical issues for a distinct set of clients. Clients are system administrators who provide mission critical services via E-learning applications to students and faculty at a wide variety of learning institutions. You will be troubleshooting complex Web applications. Issues to be resolved require a broad range of troubleshooting skills related to: – Software functionality – Application Server setup – Database management – Data analysis – Operating system configuration – Performance tuning – Installation – Migration – Upgrades of products Required skills: – Bachelor’s Degree preferred 2 years + experience in a client facing or technical support environment – Good basic knowledge of system and database administration principles – Oracle and MS SQL*Server – Working knowledge of IIS and/or Apache Web Server – Understanding of Internet application technologies including; HTML, XML, Internet protocols – Experience in a self-directed work environment – Demonstrated ability to research and resolve problems using a variety of resources and tools – Strong verbal and written communication skills This will be challenging and exciting positions in brand new office where you will be a key contact across their international offices, in particular the USA and AsiaPac.
