An online E-learning site that is used by over 2,500 institutions world wide is growing their technical support function out Australia and has a need for Technical Support Analysts. Managing resolution of technical issues for a distinct set of clients. Clients are system administrators who provide mission critical services via E-learning applications to students and faculty at a wide variety of learning institutions. You will be troubleshooting complex Web applications. Issues to be resolved require a broad range of troubleshooting skills related to: - Software functionality - Application Server setup - Database management - Data analysis - Operating system configuration - Performance tuning - Installation - Migration - Upgrades of products Required skills: - Bachelor’s Degree preferred 2 years + experience in a client facing or technical support environment - Good basic knowledge of system and database administration principles - Oracle and MS SQL*Server - Working knowledge of IIS and/or Apache Web Server - Understanding of Internet application technologies including; HTML, XML, Internet protocols - Experience in a self-directed work environment - Demonstrated ability to research and resolve problems using a variety of resources and tools - Strong verbal and written communication skills This will be challenging and exciting positions in brand new office where you will be a key contact across their international offices, in particular the USA and AsiaPac. Senior Business Analyst This $400 Million Dollar Business with 40,000 people worldwide is currently going through an interesting period of organisational change. After a lengthy strategic review of their global business they are seeking a talanted senior business analyst to join the team. The main objectives for the senior business analyst is to provide systems enhancements, support, training and project management. You will have the skills and abilities to provide post implementation support as well as coaching key stakeholders in using the system effectively. You will work alongside a wide range of business units managing multiple assignments ensuring they are primed for delivery. You will take ownership of these assignments, so there is an overlap into project management in respect to monitoring and facilitating. (IT) Application Engineer
Rate: $110k Location: North Sydney
An exciting new role has been created within the pioneering team for a global software vendor that develop their own ECM solution. The aim of this team is to work around the core product with customers, analysing specific customer requirements that address business applications that will be built and added to their core product purchase. The purpose is to add business value to their customers. As an Application Engineer you will be a senior member of staff, that will be designing and building these business applications from scratch. Such business applications might be case or meeting management and with a 3 monthly cycle for developing these application there will be plenty of variety. You have a passion and understanding of Java Web technology and a strong flair for understanding the business and how IT solutions support that. Skills and Experience: 7 years in the IT industry with 4 years+ design and development of Java/JEE applications. XML, XSL and Webservices. Experience with AJAX and JSON an advantage. Experience building robust, high volume production applications. You will be expected to meet with clients but travel is at a minimum and expected to be only 5% of your time away from the office and always with the Solution Architect. This role does not require for you to have had previous consulting experience and thus is a superb opportunity for any strong JEE Developer who wants to be involved in building completely.
